Deborah Marie Jones
June 11th, 1957 through April 18th, 2008
Deborah Marie Jones, our loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and dear friend to countless people, was taken abruptly from us at the young age of 50 years old."Debbie" was born to Adrienne and George Baker in San Francisco, California. Deb had an indomitable spirit, and a determination to see the best in everyone.
Deb wanted nothing more than to help people in need. She attended Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA, earning her Nursing degree in 1992. Since then, she has helped mothers in care at St. Mark's Hospital, which she loved very much. Her strength and compassion was felt by all. She was an inspiration to others.
Deb had an insatiable taste for the finer things in life. She loved to talk over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. She felt most at peace when in the hills of Napa Valley, or in the company of her family and friends. She never once forgot someone's birthday or anniversary. She enjoyed very much playing cards, bowling, and going on walks. She always romanticized of traveling to Europe and beyond. Her wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh will be remembered by all.
Deb was married to Patrick Jones from 1977 to 2001. They had two children together, Bryan and Jeff Jones. She loved being a grandmother, and spending time with her two grandkids. She is survived in death by her father, George, her brother, Douglas, her two adult sons, Bryan (Allison) and Jeff, and her grandchildren, Sierra and Shannon. She is also survived by her exended family of nieces, nephews and cousins and preceded by her mother, Adrienne.
On April 18th, 2008 Deborah Jones was unfairly and unjustly taken from this world at the hands of a cold, heartless, evil murderer by the name of Michael Jerome Doyel. Doyel, had met our mom through a personal ad on Craigslist.org and was then going by the name of Mick Harrelson. Because of the assumed name he had gone by, Deborah had no idea of his extensive criminal background including felony and misdemeanor convictions for theft, assault, kidnapping, and other charges.
This website was created on April 20th, 2008 the day after we reported our mom missing. It's purpose was to spread the word about our mom's dissapearance and flyers available for download to help get the word out. The irony was, that all of this happened after she had already been murdered.
Shortly after receiving word of our moms death, we decided to turn this webpage into a memorial in her memory and to begin working on an information portal for women on the dangers of online dating, and warning signs of potential predators. We can all help by bringing this information to our legislature and forcing them to enact laws which are desperately needed to protect others from this awful situation.
This website is non-profit, and solely relies on donations from the public. Donations can be made to the Deborah Jones Memorial account at any Wells Fargo Bank. We grately appreciate any help the public is willing to give us. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bryan & Jeff Jones
